オレの大好きなアーティスト、GOKIGEN_SOUNDさん。
ゴキゲンサンって読みます。
この1年くらいとても仲良くしてもらっているアーティストさんです。
共通の友人を介して知り合ったのですが、オレはこの人の生き方が好き。
この人の、人としての温かさが好き。
思い通りいかない人生の中で、人間臭く苦しみながら、それでも“人生を楽しく生きるんだ”って。
そして、一歩一歩前に進んでいってる人。
ゴキゲンサン、やっぱり歌唄いさんですからね。
彼の書く詞を聞いていれば、彼の葛藤や憧れ、そして目指すもの、大切にしているもの、そういったものが見えてくる気がします。
まだ会ったことないときから、彼の曲を聴き、吸い込まれるような感覚を持ったことを覚えています。
人間って経験しないと分からないことってたくさんあるし、そして経験した人の言葉って力を持つんですよね。
ゴキゲンサンは、実はいまや誰もが知るトップアーティスト「湘南乃風」のオリジナルメンバーの1人。
インディーズ時代は今のメンバーらと一緒に全国をワゴンで廻ってたそうです。
でも、メジャーデビューが決まったときに、1人グループを抜け、レゲェの本場であるジャマイカへ旅立ったんだそうで。
そして2年後、日本に戻って目にしたのは、一緒にドサ周りをしていたメンバーがスポットライトの下に立つ姿だったそうです。
正直嫉妬もあったと思います。
後悔もあったかもしれません。
不器用な生き方をしているなぁって思ったかもしれません。
でもでも、そこからゴキゲンサンらしく、周りをご機嫌にする歌を歌い続けてきました。
音楽界の方たち、そんなにたくさんは知りませんが、そうやってインディーズから切磋琢磨してきた人たちって、みんなハートフルで、とっても仲間愛に包まれているんですよね。
そんなゴキゲンサンをどんどん周りがフィーチャリングに呼んだりして、彼も自分の道を進んでいったんだそうです。
湘南のメンバーからすれば、「帰って来い」なんて言えないでしょうし。
でも自分の道を進む仲間を心から応援してたんでしょうね。
そして2011年7月に33歳という年でメジャーデビュー。
インディーズでもすでに相当な地位を確立していましたが、ようやくたどり着いたスタート地点。
めっちゃめちゃいいアルバムです。
そんな中でも、この湘南乃風とのフューチャリング曲、LETTERは、このバックグラウンドを知って聞くと涙ものです。
昨年9月に湘南乃風のコンサートに行かせてもらったのですが、そこでゴキゲンサンがサプライズゲストで登場し、この歌を歌ったとき、ガチで泣いてしまいましたからね。

そんなゴキゲンサン、昨年終わりに全国をワゴンで廻る旅をしました。
そしてそのときに書いた歌なんかも収録した新しいアルバム「満タンで行こう！！」が7月18日に発売になります。
オレもそのCDを一足先にいただきましたが、もうヘビロテですよ。
皆さんにも是非聞いて欲しい。
ちなみにこのアルバムにも収録されていない、オレの大好きな曲はこれ。
この歌にはまだタイトルついてないのかな？
ということで、オレの中で勝手に「タビビト」っていうタイトルを付けてやりました。
とにかくこのアーティストを知って欲しい。
オレの思いを代返してくれたりするような気もして。
だからなんとなく、皆さんにも知って欲しいのかも。
とっても良いアーティストさんです。
GOKIGEN_SOUND、是非覚えておいてくださいね。
